A six-week guided group healing journey for women navigating life
after cancer treatment.

THE 'IN-BETWEEN'
For the space between surviving and becoming

ABOUT 'THE IN-BETWEEN'
There is a part of the journey that isn’t often spoken about - the “after.”
When treatment ends, but everything still feels changed.
When support quiets, yet so much is still moving within you.
A place to begin making sense of the ‘after’.
The In-Between is a six-week guided small-group healing journey for women navigating life after cancer treatment. Created for the often-overlooked season after treatment ends, this program offers a compassionate space to pause, reflect, connect, and gently begin moving forward.
Over six weeks, you'll journey alongside a small group of women who understand that healing doesn't end when treatment does. Each weekly gathering is thoughtfully facilitated, blending meaningful conversation, guided reflection, mindfulness, journaling, and gentle rituals in a warm, supportive environment.
Together, we'll explore:
-
Making sense of life after cancer
-
Rebuilding trust in your body
-
Processing the emotional impact of your experience
-
Honouring grief, loss, and everything that has changed
-
Navigating relationships, identity, and the feeling of being misunderstood
-
Reconnecting with hope, purpose, and the woman you're becoming
Between gatherings, you'll receive optional reflections and journal prompts to gently support your healing. These are always invitations - never expectations.
Above all, The In-Between is a place to be witnessed, supported, and reminded that you don't have to navigate this chapter alone.
What's Included
-
Six weekly in-person gatherings (approximately 2 hours each)
-
A small, intentionally curated group of women
-
Guided discussions and weekly themes
-
Reflective journaling and optional practices between gatherings
-
Mindfulness, grounding, and gentle rituals
-
A professionally facilitated, trauma-informed, compassionate space
You don't need to have the right words.
You don't need to have everything figured out.
You simply need to come as you are.

WHY I CREATED THE IN-BETWEEN
When I completed cancer treatment, I expected life to slowly return to normal.
Instead, I found myself in a place I hadn't anticipated.
The appointments became less frequent, the world carried on, and people naturally assumed the hardest part was over. But emotionally, I was only beginning to understand what had happened.
I was grieving. Learning to trust my body again. Trying to make sense of who I was after everything I'd been through. I realized there was so much support during treatment - but very little for the quiet, complicated season that came afterward.
That experience stayed with me.
As both a cancer survivor and a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, I began imagining the kind of space I wish had existed when I finished treatment - a place where women could be honest about the parts that often go unseen, where healing could continue beyond the medical system, and where no one had to navigate this chapter alone.
The In-Between was created from that vision.
It is the space I needed, and now have the privilege of offering to others.

IS THIS
FOR YOU?
Is This the Right Fit?
The In-Between is designed for women who have completed active cancer treatment and are looking for a supportive, small-group experience to continue their emotional healing and reconnect with themselves alongside others who understand.
The In-Between may be for you if...
-
You've completed active cancer treatment but don't quite feel like yourself.
-
You're wondering, "Why doesn't anyone talk about this part?"
-
Your body feels unfamiliar, unpredictable, or difficult to trust.
-
You're carrying emotions that have only begun to surface now that treatment is over.
-
You feel isolated in your experience or long to connect with women who truly understand.
-
You're navigating questions of identity, purpose, or what comes next.
-
You're looking for more than information - you want connection, reflection, and a space where healing can continue.
This program may not be the best fit if...
-
You are currently in active cancer treatment and require support specific to that stage of your journey.
-
You are experiencing a mental health crisis or require a higher level of therapeutic or medical care than a group program can provide.
-
You are looking for medical advice, treatment recommendations, or a traditional cancer support group focused primarily on education or sharing medical information.
-
You are uncomfortable participating in a small-group setting, even if you choose to share very little.
If you're unsure whether The In-Between is the right fit for you, I warmly invite you to reach out. I'm always happy to have a conversation and help you determine whether this program - or another form of support - would best meet your needs.
A GENTLE NOTE:
The In-Between is intended to complement - not replace - the care you receive from your physician, oncologist, mental health professional, or healthcare team.
While this program is informed by both my lived experience as a cancer survivor and my professional background as a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor, it is not intended to provide medical advice or replace the care of your healthcare team.
These offerings provide a supportive space for emotional healing, connection, reflection, and community after cancer treatment. They are not medical treatment, psychotherapy for acute mental health concerns, or crisis services.
If you have concerns about your physical or mental health, I encourage you to speak with your healthcare provider.

OUR SHARED AGREEMENTS...
Creating a safe, supportive space is something we all contribute to. As part of The In-Between, we ask each participant to embrace these shared agreements:
-
Confidentiality is essential. What is shared within the group stays within the group.
-
We listen to understand, not to fix. Every woman's story deserves to be heard with compassion and respect.
-
Every journey is unique. We honor one another's experiences without comparison, judgment, or unsolicited advice.
-
Sharing is always an invitation. You're welcome to participate in whatever way feels most comfortable for you.
-
We show up with kindness - for ourselves and one another. Healing looks different for everyone, and every stage of the journey is welcome here.
We commit to showing up as consistently as possible. Each woman's presence helps build trust, connection, and continuity throughout the six-week journey.
